'High Flight' was written by Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr / No 412 squadron / RCAF.  Gillespie joined the RCAF before America entered the war.   He was killed December 11,  1941 at the age of 19.

I loved this show as a kid.  The show had a very unusual look and sound to it.  There was no syncing the American voices to the animation.  It didn't hurt the show in the least. The guy is 95 years old and is still sharp as a tack.  I remember seeing Jack Lalanne on television through out my childhood.  Jack had the longest running fitness show on television running from 1951-1985.  It's neat to see that he's still out there encouraging fitness, proper diet.
