Chuck Conners starred as an officer drummed out of the military in 'Branded' after his highly successful 'The Rifleman' series. Branded had a short run from '65 to '66. The show ranked in the top twenty when it was yanked.
Kids all over the U.S. had different lyrics for the show's theme song.

Strange that I should run across the first season of BRANDED at Cracker Barrel after making this post. I had not heard of the show in years, and to come across the DVDs.

Make fun of Branded? Not this kid. I had a huge crush on Chuck Conners and watched the opening to Branded faithfully every week. Had no clue as to what the show was about but I can still sing the theme song. And / oh - when his sword gets taken and broken in half - hurt me!
