It's the new 1970 Ford Pinto - a new frisky compact car to compete with the Japanese imports. How is it frisky you ask?

"...your blog site rocks. Interesting, edgy, nostalgic, psycho-deliciosity, americana, boomerania, eclectic electric, child-like, childhoodesque, mind set required to understand and enter the kingdom of God stuff."

PLEASE tell me that we aren't going to see and Gremlins or Pacers lurking around Boomerville!
I guess the Pinto was supposed to be an economical, gas-saving spinoff of the Mustang . . . we never had one, but I remember them well.
Gremlins, Pacers, and Pinto - Oh my!
Gremlins, Pacers, and Pintos - Oh my!
They were all ugly little cars. I thought so back then. Nothing cool about them.
The first time I saw a Pacer I thought to myself, "That looks like something off the Jetsons!"
It seemed to me that there were a lot more Pintos around than the other American compacts.
Excuse me...Lay off the Gremlins.
Vicki and I wanted to buy one so bad when we first got married. It was a two toned blue and white Gremling with (get this) denim interior. I don't think it would have held up very well over the years but hey! we were young and stupid.

I guess with denim seat covers - you could always patch holes with old blue jeans.
Lay off the Gremlin?
Hey Guys....I still dream of having a Gremlin one day. Put some really fat rims on the car...super wide tires.....drop the suspension.....some hydraulics...LED white turn signal lights....a pale green or light blue with a white racing stripe....lots of chrome....brown leather interior......don't forget the window tint......
you think I'm joking.......
No Jose'...I don't think you're joking one bit.
